Mirada ("the App") is developed by Joshua Brooks ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Mirada is designed with privacy in mind. We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the App's functionality.
Data Stored on Your Device
- Vision boards and content: Your boards, images, quotes, and settings are stored locally on your device.
- Photos: Images you add to boards from your photo library or camera are stored within the App's local storage. We do not access your full photo library.
Data Synced via iCloud
- Board sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your boards are stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is associated with your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Gatherings: When you create or join a Gathering (shared board session), your display name and board contributions are stored in CloudKit's public database so other participants can see them.
Data Sent to Third Parties
- Unsplash (optional): If you search for web images, your search queries are sent to the Unsplash API. Unsplash's privacy policy is available at unsplash.com/privacy.
- No analytics or advertising SDKs: We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising frameworks. We do not track you.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or phone number.
- We do not use device identifiers for tracking or advertising.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to third parties.
- We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies.
AI-Generated Content
The App includes an AI quote generator that runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models. No text you enter is sent to external servers. If on-device AI is unavailable, the App falls back to a curated database of quotes stored within the App.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Purchase history is managed by Apple and associated with your Apple ID.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data Retention and Deletion
All locally stored data can be deleted by removing the App from your device. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings. Gathering contributions in the public CloudKit database can be removed by deleting the gathering.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
